Athlete Drama

I blame this question even being an issue on the media in the first place, I don't care if Ray lewis leaves the game and stabs somebody in the face I am just worried if we won the game.  Athletes are not celebrities, they are just treadted like they are.  If they are smart enough to create their own company then good for them but I am most likely not going to buy their $110 shoes.  If they want to donate money or steal money I don't give a shit because no famous athletes live in Dundalk so I think that I will be safe.  They are just regular people that can run, jump, kick and catch stuff better then we can.  If you want to follow around and look up to a guy that catches a ball for a living then your a moron and you most likely cannot read anyway so this will not offend you.  Don't get mad at these athletes for having their own show, shoes, clothes or fragrance.....I someone walked up to me right now and asked me if I wanted any of that stuff I would get up right away and reply Um HELL YEAH!  Tough decision really, make a shit ton of money and have my own Tv show and shoes or worry what I am going to do when I have to pay that fine for celebrating to long in the end zone.....yea I think I will take the extra 75 million bucks.

Celebrity Marketing

Every day I wake up and turn on the Tv or go outside or do anything there is a huge face of some celebrity that I do not have any idea of what they are even famous for promoting some product that we all know they don't use.  All of these celebrities are using everything BUT the "Talent" that they have to become more popular.  If you are hot and have a huge ass (Kim Kardashin) then don't make a CD because I don't wanna listen to your shitty music, just be hot and go back to banging that rapper that I have never heard of.  Youtube has now become a joke....it use to be a website where regular people could get videos out for people to see and enjoy but now it is just swamped with ads for weight loss pills by some dickhead from the Jersey Shore, by the way what is his "talent" again? Ohh thats right he is famous for being a dickhead...right.  Facebook, youtube, and all Television is just a huge ad for these retard famous people to interupt me from watching It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia.  If you want to become famous for being a musician then you should probably start out by being good at an instrument or singing and if you can't do either then Fuck off and do something else.

isnt it the truth

Today I had the fantastic oppurtunity to watch the news!...by that I mean I got to see in front of the Television and listen to people that want their opinion heard complain for an hour.  If I wanted to be bagerd by the same voice all day then I would get back together with my ex.  I do not really watch any of these shows like the Bill O'Rielly show and I now know why I have stayed away from them for so long.  I sat down and watched an episode of "The daily show" and the Bill O'Rielly show.  I have never weanted commercials more in my life then When I watched the Bill O'Rielly show.  I am not the smartest man alive nor do I know an extreamly large amount about political subjects but I am pretty sure this guy might be in the same boat as me, why they gave him a show? I have no idea.  It almost looks like every 3 min.  somebody in the back of the room holds up a sign for a new topic for him to just go off about that is not related to what they were just talking about.  I felt like I was watching a room of men that all had an early onset of Alzheimer's arguing.  I would not tie my worst enemy down to a chair and make him watch this show because it would be considered cruel punishment.....I would just do him the favor and put a bullet through his head.  I believe that anyone in class that had to sit through that shithead speak for more then 5min should automatically pass this class. 

I then turned over to John Stewart which I do not watch this simply because I would rather watch something else.  the episode that I did wwatch was not that bad because it had richard lewis on it and it was actually quite funny and was not alot of crazy political shit. I am also just a fan of richard Lewis esspecially in Curb your Enthusiasm....If I were to pick one person to listen to that I feel I was less likely to commmit suicide while watching the show I guess I would have to pick John Stewarts.

Really FAKE TV

Reality Tv.......Is it real or fake? Either way it sucks.  I will never understand the concept of people running to the Tv to watch a bunch of Italian assholes that still live with their parents act like they are retarded.  I do not want to watch a group of rich snobs crying about their problem at their new home in Malibu either.  The Hills, Jersey Shore or any show on VH1 with someone "looking for love" is dumbing down the entire population.  Why do people care about the next thing that some Italian whore is going to do?  The best episode is the one where that Snooki girl gets knocked out, and by the way the girls on the show are not attractive.  If an alien did come down and saw the way that these people acted then we would be the laughing stock of the universe and there would be no belief of intelligent life on this planet.  I just hate how people can even think that these shows are real, nobody is in love with flavor flav.  All of these shows have scripts the producers will even admit it. So thank you to MTV and VH1 for killing the intelligence in todays society.  

Remember the newspaper?

The newspaper is an extreamly important piece of our everyday life.  If you were to take a look at the Baltimore Sun then you would see alot of differnt stories from murder, schooling or even the weekly weather.  I believe that the newspaper is actually one of the things left in the world that is not bias, take a look at the paper...it is much differnt then the news on TV.  the differnce between the two is the paper just shows the actual information on what is recent and it does not use things to scare the audience into reading it.  the television uses flash and sex appeal and anything else it can use to get people to watch it.  I would say the audience for the newspaper is attracted to slightly older generation as a whole.......I am not saying that young people do not care about the paper I am justv saying I would rather watch the news then read it. It is cheap and people insist on buying it so I do not see something this old going away since the first paper was published in April 24th 1704 and it is now 2011.

Magazines

Yesterday I was at Mars Supermarket and happened to walk by the check out counter and see all of the magazines, I stopped and was reminded of the assignment so I stopped and began to stare at them.  What jumped out to me was the pictures of course on magazines such as cosmo and Maxim magazine because.....well who does not love hot girls?  then i began to read the headlines and i began to laugh a little.      I just find it funny that the population cares more about what perfume Katy Perry wears then anything else. women and men are portrayed in these magazines as the ideal person.  I can not remember the last magazine that i picked up and a regular looking person was on it, everyone looks like they just got done doing 1000 sit-ups.  I guess I am just wondering what the magazine wants us to think when we see the cover, are we suppose to feel like we should look like these people even when they have to be airbrushed to look like that? Are we suppose to feel bad about ourselves? Who knows? Either way I don't care cause the only thing I bought at Mars was a drink, so I am not giving into the Corporate advertising :)
